The founder of This Won’t Work is John Carter.
John is a Chartered Accountant and is a member of the National Association of Specialist Dental Accountants. He therefore knows and understands that dentists are special people who deserve and need to be treated differently.
Before he sold his practice John had built up a highly successful boutique accountancy firm that specialised in acting for dental practices, including those very much considered to be the leaders of their profession.
Additionally, for twelve years John has been and continues to be a member of the team that delivers the business management skills module for The University of Bristol’s Diploma in Post Graduate Dental Studies and is a guest lecturer in tax and accounting for the MSc course in Dental Implantology. John also lectures on self employment matters at the University of Bath Spa.
John’s is rightfully regarded as one of the leading commentators on the dental profession. He was one of the speakers at the November 2010 BDA Conference – ‘Preparing for Retirement’.
One of John’s greatest skills is his ability to encourage and inspire in a language that is understood by every dentist. With hard and practical professional advice he has a reputation of being able to help transform a vision into a reality.
John has built a team of talented individuals working at This Won’t Hurt including Sarah-Jayne White (‘S-J’). SJ is a film maker and designer for web and print. She has more than 15 years working in a tough commercial environment-working for the most demanding of clients. She is innovative and creative. She will help your practice learn how to market itself with innovative ideas-marking your practice apart and ahead of your competitors.
Also part of the team is John Killah. John has a background as a lawyer but has an expertise in managing and advising professional practices, including within the medical and dental professions. He specialises in practice rejuvenation, helping fellow professionals re-discover their hunger for their business-and helping them to maximise their profits at the same time.
